Hi, I’m Andy.
I specialise in working with ambitious professionals who are finding that anxiety, self-doubt and overthinking are barriers to their wellbeing, relationships, and contentment in life. I create the space for them to hear themselves think, realign with what matters most, feel calmer and thrive.
I offer everyone a free 15-minute conversation to hear a bit about what’s going on for you, your hopes from any work we do together, and a chance to ask me any questions you may have. ‘
How can I help?
Individual Therapy
Whether you’re faced with challenges at work, struggles at home, feeling anxious, stressed or burnt out, individual therapy can help you find ways of making sense of these difficult experiences and find a productive way forward that suits you. All therapy sessions are individually tailored to your needs.
Long-term Illness & health condition
Living with a long-term illness & health condition can be physically and emotionally demanding. I can work with you to help you develop coping strategies, manage symptom flare-ups, cope with pain, and help you communicate your needs to others in a way that builds bridges between you and them.
How I work…
I’m a big believer in working collaboratively with clients. I don’t buy into the idea that I’m an ‘expert’ in your life or problems – in fact, I genuinely believe that you are!
I do believe that if we put other heads together to get clear about what you’re wanting from the work, what that looks like, and are both willing to share ideas, that change is possible and you can make progress.
I also value your views on how we’re doing together. Throughout our work, I’ll ask you about what’s helpful and what isn’t, what do we need to do differently together and so on. This ensures that your views and voice remain central to what we’re doing. I don’t want to waste your time.
Throughout my work, I typically draw from Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Existential Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
All work is carried out according to the BACP’s code of ethics.
About me…
I’m a chartered psychologist (HCPC) and qualified counsellor (BACP) with over 10 years of experience working in mental health settings, including working with people who have lived through challenging life experiences.
Over those 10 years, I’ve helped people:
- become more confident and make changes that have changed their life,
- helped people get clear on what’s most important to them and to live accordingly
- worked with people to overcome crippling anxiety to take small steps towards goals that they never thought they’d achieve
- manage their long-term condition and pain, to be able to live their life more fully
I hugely value treating every person with dignity and seeing them as resourceful, strong, motivated and resilient – despite the overwhelming challenges they may be facing and how they currently see themselves.

Next steps…
Finding a therapist can be a daunting process.
You may not be too clear about what you’re looking for, or you may have loads of questions.
I offer all potential clients a free 15-minutes phone call. This gives us a chance to discuss what you’re hoping to get from any work we do together, and to ask me any questions they may have. It’s also an opportunity for us both to get a sense of whether we’ll work well together.
Use the contact form below to arrange a free 15-minute chat.
There’d be no hard selling on this call – just a genuine conversation to see what may be possible.
